Dupre' Logistics, LLC

Al LaCombe

Vice President of Safety & Risk Mgmt

What's your name and who are you with?  My name is Al Lacombe and I'm from Lafayette, LA and I work with Dupree Logistics out of Lafayette, LA.  What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  My favorite thing about the platform that we use. It's used daily within our company is the flexibility an opportunity to be able to do training wherever our employees are or our prospective employees are and the flexibility with the program which really helped us here over the past two years with the COVID problem we had?  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group they come?  My favorite thing about Vertical Alliance is the people. Very friendly from top down all the way through the ranks of the company. I think that they're some very knowledgeable people, a very customer oriented, and have really helped our organization over past years compared to, say, previous providers that we've used.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  The roundtable event, I thought, was really great. I had been spoken with about attending for quite some time, had the opportunity was able to fit it into the schedule and just the interaction from the employees from Vertical Alliance and Infinit-I, as well as the networking of all the people that were here I thought it was really great.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  What I would tell them is that you know, try to find the time. You're not the only player out there as a motor carrier, you have an opportunity to be able to expand your knowledge and see what other people are doing and from a group standpoint, it's really enlightening, it's learning and it's networking.

What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  I would say the functionality and the ease of moving around trying to find the different areas between the different classes and training sessions.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group, the company?  So far, the customer service has been exemplary, everybody here is great, everyone is friendly, very, very helpful. There hasn't been a person that I've run into or called or asked a question that I haven't gotten an answer, or they've directed me to the person for an answer.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  The group discussions were great. It gives you an insight to other companies to what they are doing for training and maybe other tips and tricks that they're doing, and it just gives you a good partnership with other companies in the trade.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  100% come to The Roundtable. It was great. It was a great time. It's a great networking. You walk away learning a whole bunch of information, not just about this company, but about the trade and other companies that you probably have new relationships with as well.

What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  I really enjoyed interacting with the other businesses. The people that were here, getting their ideas, how they use Infinit-I and how they do their safety training.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group, the company?  I love the team that Vertical Alliance has put together. Their content is excellent and I also like the idea where we could upload our own content or if we need Vertical Alliance to do some videos we can have that option.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  I think it's the interaction with not only the key people at Vertical Alliance, but also key people that are in the industry that was with the group.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  I'd probably slap him on the back of the head and say you know, get off the fence and just do it because it makes training so much easier and as a trainer and as a past professor. When I was teaching classes, each class was different and what I like about the Infinit-I and the video group, every video, every piece of training is consistent.

"We really enjoyed Infinit-I system. Our drivers have gotten a lot of good information out of it. We've seen our safety scores go down. Distracted driving is a real issue these days and our drivers have benefited from the videos that your service has provided." "I think it's very user-friendly, the App allows the drivers be able to get in, get the videos, review the videos that we provide for them and it's nice that we can also check to make sure that they've reviewed them and check their scores."

“I rate it a “5”. Our drivers have been waiting for this type of training, we’ve never had any type of training, and they’ve told me at the other companies they previously worked they always did this type of training, so I think it’s working very well for our drivers.
“I can tell you one particular driver who would probably rate it a 5. He called in and needed some help, and he was so surprised that somebody answered. We have had problems with another company that we’ve signed on with that you can’t get a person to answer."

“I feel like our driver's will rate Infinit-I very well. Nothing's perfect so maybe what you will hear four stars from some and 5 stars from others. You know it's all depending on the user's perception but I would say that all in all they would definitely speak well of the program. It's very convenient for them to be able to just do you do the training on the phone on demands at the dock or wherever it is that they find themselves and the shortness of the courses as well being 5 to 10 minutes allows for them to do that training in small segments. So even if they have to leave off and come back, its great that Infinit-I does remember where you left off, you can resume back in that place because we all know, you know we're all busy and sometimes we are interrupted within our training when as we're taking it."

"Assuming that 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest, I am going to say a 5. It was really enjoyable. The topics were really relevant to what's going on in the industry right now. It's not only about the safety program per se, it's also about the industry as a whole. To try and make us better so I would encourage anybody to come."

Billy May

National Director of Safety

What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  My favorite thing about it is I like to do a lot of original content. I do quarterly safety meetings that I put out as an assignment. So basically, I get 100% participation in my safety meeting, so that's my favorite thing.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group, the company?  Very easy to work with. Honestly, every time I have a problem, I can get those problems solved and within 5 minutes. Just this morning I sent out an e-mail to my Nikisha and I was just needing the content out of my orientation to share with somebody else. 2 minutes later I get an e-mail back with the Excel file, it's just that simple. Everybody's very pleasant and just they take care of you, you know.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  There's there was a whole lot of them, but I think mine was just, I guess, the camaraderie. Being around with people that are in the same job description that I'm in, especially since COVID. It's just really nice to actually talk face to face with people as opposed to a zoom meeting, or whatever, but I don't know if there was any one thing I it was several things, but I got a lot of new perspectives. I gave a lot of new perspectives, and it was just enjoyable.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  I would tell them to absolutely come like I said, the camaraderie, the exchange of information, there's great guests. The food's great, the social times great, and I have really enjoyed this and I will be coming back again, one day.

Can't remember where I found a video or if I can't remember what I've assigned and she's real good about helping me do mass distribution emails out to truck drivers for assignments, so I always get plenty of support when I need it.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  Has to be networking anytime that you can get a group of safety directors together and talk about common problems, see how they're using the Infinit-I to help solve those problems and what works for them is a huge advantage for us.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  I have to say one, the support you're going to get from the networking, but to just the hospitality Vertical Alliances put together here for us and really has taken care of us and treat us with the respect as clients has been helpful.

Pretty easy too to upload custom content as well. Aside from all of the content that they have available. It's just very user friendly.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the Company?  Everyone has been amazing and very personable, very friendly. I feel like I've made some good acquaintances, even friends during this and learned a lot. Very informative.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  There's a lot of different ways that you can do a lot of different things. A lot of different ways that you can do one specific thing and being open to possibilities of looking at things in one way or another versus maybe the way that you've been looking at it. Maybe put a different spin on a subject that you thought there was only one way to to fix or complete it.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell them?  I would tell them that it is very informative. You feel very welcomed by the Infinit-I Group. I've learned a lot. I've only been using the program for a little over two months. I'll be going back with a great deal more knowledge than I came in with. Very informative.

They provide a good service for the trucking industry as well as other people in the industry.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  Well, let me say that it's been very enjoyable. I have had a good time. I have learned a lot by interacting with the other people and stuff here. It's really hard to pinpoint one thing, but it has been a very enjoyable experience.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  I would say absolutely they will not regret it.

Quest/Freightliner

Jesica Studle

Sr Director of Safety

What's your name and who are you with?  Jessica Studle with Buchanan Hauling & Rigging.  What is your favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce platform?  I think my favorite thing about the platform is that I feel like it’s continuously growing now; new things coming and for a while I didn’t see that. But, the last couple of years, I think that’s my favorite part is that it’s growing.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  I like the story. Jay told me how he kind of got started and he’s a very inventful [sic] person, and I just like his energy and I like the energy of the folks I’ve met here. So, I think I like the story.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  That our input is valuable. It is definitely considered.   If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  I was on the fence. I think advice to someone else would be to simply take a good look at what you have so that you are able to bring things to the table that are unique and specific to you, because there is just a lot of possibility.

Jon Stenzel

What's your name and who are you with?  John Stenzel, Foodliner.  What is your favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  I think they use the ease of use. It's extremely user friendly and I guess the documentation and follow-up. What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group they come?  I was really refreshing to hear Jay the owner, as well as the other leadership kind of their humble beginnings. You know a lot of it everything we do revolves around trust and respect, and I guess just to for us to open up it was good to hear his how the company started and humbleness that cause it comes through that, and I think by that time people are more willing to open up and trade best practices and learn and so on.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  Oh man, I don't know. There was one. There were a lot of great things that came from it. Again, trading best practices, talking with the different carriers that were here, really enjoyed the litigation, the CSA information, the insurance information. I don't have one It was, it was very value-added and really appreciate the opportunity.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  It wouldn't really be an option. I mean, you know, when you believe in something, you sell it and you come from the heart. It's a lot of passion and again, not just to talk, to talk, but you walk the walk and you believe in something. People can see it and they can feel it and I think this would be very value added and we can appreciate the opportunity.

I'm the VP of safety.  What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  The wide range of videos and subject content. They have over 1000 trucking-related videos, and they cover a wide range of subjects and topics.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  Their willingness and just the ease of working with them, they're interested in our thoughts and our suggestions, and we get really rapid responses from our CSR.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  Extremely informative. I was able to come in and to see. What you're working on for the future, I'm leaving here with a better knowledge of the entire platform, the entire system. So yeah, extremely informative.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  Our time is extremely important, very hard to get away from the office. Things keep going on. I found it was very worthwhile. Again, I learned a lot. I was able to meet people, get to put faces with names. So yeah, overall, very good and it was done first class.

You do care about your clients, which we appreciate a lot these type of events it's really mind opening and it's a really good partnership.  What is your most important take away from the partner roundtable?  I have a lot of ideas now going on in my mind, so I just need to put them in drawers and see how we can start applying some of the things that I learned in this event.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell them?  Uhm, I would tell him to totally go ahead and do it. There's really good information here and it's very enjoyable. You can hear different companies doing different things, so it's very beneficial.
CRST The Transportation Solution

CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc.

Keith Long

Training Programs Manager

What is your favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  I think one of the most important things is from the driver's standpoint, getting to put the technology in their own hands. Giving them the power to engage in learning. The mobile app is, I mean limitlessly valuable that we can put training together and send them to our drivers. We're not having to route them into a terminal like we used to for a training class or put them into a classroom, but rather. I put a training together in 5 minutes later a driver can jump in and take it.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  Initially outside of it, you know, I thought we were working just with training, and you know that I guess a company in that environment, in that realm. But sitting through this conference, you know, you really get immersion into it. It's not just about the training, right? There's a whole culture here of likeminded people that I can, you know, sympathize with. It's like being. You know, at work and working hand in hand with the people that have a direct interest with our driver safety and generally want them to do well.  What is your most important take away from the partner roundtable?  Say my most important take away? It's probably going to be all the books now that I have to read thanks to Jay.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell them?  Don't miss it. If you truly care about your company and the investment that you're putting into your drivers. This is where you know, this opportunity, for some of us like my company, a bigger company where we are already using Infinit-I Uhm, I still got value out of it, but then we have smaller companies here that are realizing just the limitless, limitless possibilities that, you know, Infinit-I can put in front of their drivers. Yeah, don't miss.

Robert Marquez

Orientation Manager

What is your favorite thing about The Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  It was very informative. Being in the industry for just a little bit over a year, I'm constantly learning and coming here to be part of this amazing event. I learned a lot.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  There's a couple of answers for this. One, the production of the material that is given for, not only for drivers, but also for anyone that wants to learn about various things that are out there for, in this case, you know, the trucking industry. They're very informative and additionally to that If I ever have any questions, there's always someone that I can reach out to that will help me out and give me guidance if I'm not quite sure on how to go about certain things.  What is your most important take away from The Partner Roundtable?  The relationships I just built with other people that are in the same industry as well as the information that was provided, I became that more knowledgeable that I can also now take back to the company and utilize that as well to just become a better version of myself.  If someone was on the fence about attending The Partner Roundtable, what would you tell them?  It can be intimidating when you have to do public speaking about and also talk about yourself in front of a group of people but the fact that this was a small group of people made it very relaxing. Everyone was so caring and so willing to answer any questions that I had, as well as making sure that I received all the tools that I needed. I would say not to be nervous when you're in a group setting for this event.

What is your favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce platform?  I really like the new dashboard because it provides a quick glance at percentages of assignments and trainings completed without having to dig deep into the platform.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  The diversity, in looking at many different ways of accomplishing a mission.  What is your most important take away from the partner roundtable?  That I really need to focus and improve our safety programs, to improve our culture and to increase our awareness of safety.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell them?  This is a must do round table event, that will help you to network, to grow both personally and professionally.

“What's your name and who are you with?  My name is Jenna from and I am CEO and co-owner of Palmer Bus Service, based out of Minnesota.  What is your favorite thing about the Infinity Workforce platform?  My favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce platform is our CSR Karen Siefert.  She is phenomenal, responsive and on top of everything at all times.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  My favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group, the actual company, is that they are truly seeking feedback. They look to know what they can improve on and are not looking for just a pat on the back, but actual real feedback to help them improve their services.  What is your most important take away from the partner roundtable?  My most important take away from the partner roundtable is that we can get an API system where our HRIS system can connect with the vertical alliance system so we can have a seamless transition between onboarding and getting folks right away integrated into our training platform.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell?  I would tell them that it is very beneficial to meet with other folks that are in your industry, hear those same struggles and get new ideas both from Vertical Alliance as well as colleagues onto what things you should be looking for that possibly are missing and honestly, to just have a great time.

Gil Davison

Safety Manager

“What's your name and who are you with?  Hi, I'm Gil Davis, and I'm with Billy Barnes Enterprises out of Monroeville, AL.  What is your favorite thing about the Infinit-I Workforce Platform?  I think the Infinit-I Workforce Platform is very good at getting information out to the drivers in a fast way. It's letting our drivers know that in case of a training event or where they may have had a mishap. That we can get that remedial training out ASAP.  What is your favorite thing about Vertical Alliance Group the company?  I think collectively, Vertical Alliance is a partnership with Billy Barnes. They do what they say and it's like in trucking. That it's where the rubber meets the road.  What is your most important take away from the partner roundtable?  It was very informative. The partner roundtable meeting gave us a chance to network with other carriers that were here. You know, sometimes you think you have the best system and the best way to do something. But when you listen to other carriers, there may be a better way. And I want to thank Infinit-I, Vertical Alliance group, everyone involved for inviting me, Gil Davidson with Billy Barnes Enterprises. It's been very pleasurable and very informative.  If someone was on the fence about attending the partner roundtable, what would you tell them?  If you're on the fence about attending the partner roundtable. I suggest that you look at vertical lines and what they have to offer. If you're already a customer with vertical lines and I would suggest coming to the round table so that you can network with individuals to find out how you can just pull one thing. If you can get one thing from this network and then you've achieved something.

It's so great and Amber, our representative, she is like the very best customer support that I've dealt with in any regard. She is so on the ball with everything, making sure everything gets done, handled, calling to see if there's anything else she can do. I have just never met a better customer support person in my own life or better representative so.  So we're so happy with Infinit-I.  We plan on never leaving thanks."

Our district was kind of concerned with ELDT, trying to figure out how we’re going to implement all the new rules and regulations that were coming down. I had calls from different companies offering me programs that would assist in the process. Then, I got a hold of Infinit-I and Infinit-I sold me a solution. If you’re looking for an ELDT answer, Infinit-I has it. We were able to walk through the process. Krystal and I set everything up; got all of our drivers in the system, all of our personalized content that we wanted is in there, we have a couple of people going through the process right now and they love the simplicity of the program. They’re able to do it at their own pace and go through the short video clips and all of the information that they’re learning is awesome. I’ve talked to them in depth about this. The reports that you’re able to see with Infinit-I; you can track their progress, you can see what they’re having issues with and help them if they need that. But, I think the #1 thing I like about Infinit-I is their customer service. You can call them up at any time and they have a solution. They have the answers that you’re looking for. ELDT. If you’re having problems, Infinit-I is the answer.

“Hey, this is Barry with Christenson Transportation and I just wanted to take a few seconds to give a shout out to one of our great vendors that we've partnered with for several years.   You know, trucking is full ups and downs; full of old stuff and new stuff and not everybody can do everything great, so we kind of rely on some of our partners and vendors to help us out and guide us in the way we need to go.  Let's focus on what we're able to do on our own, I guess.  So I wanted to say thanks to Vertical Alliance and Infinit-I, we’ve used them for several years; do all our orientation videos with them, our safety training, our post/pre accident training, anything with videos.  It's nice when you call and you have one person you deal with. So, I deal with Nakisha Luckey, but if you call her voice mail it says ‘Nawkyshah Luckey’ so that is how I converse with her. Great person!  Anyway, I call her and I say here's my problem. Here's what I'm looking for and five minutes later I get a list of videos pertaining to the subject I need. For whatever we're doing in-house in the walls training for supervisor training or if it's driver training or new driver training. They've got it all.  You know, I don't think we on this side of the business, we kind of demand stuff all the time and I don't think that's fair, so I just wanted to spend a minute and say thanks to all those vendors that look out for us and take care of us that we rely on to stay in this business and Infinit-I and Vertical Alliance, you're one of the best and Nakisha, you're awesome too, so thank you very much for all you do.”

I work for Pampa ISD and we have been using Infinit-I for our ELDT trainings and it's been great.   Our access for art staff, for professional staff, and our peer professional staff has been wonderful.  It's very easy to use, to set up. We've enjoyed all the classes available other than ELDT and we've been using the bus inspection class for our new drivers and also trainings for our previous drivers that already have licenses.  The ability to be able to complete the classroom theory and practical portions, and at our driver's convenience, is great. Also, the access to both mobile and desktop has been such a big help; because it's, you know, it's available for them to do at any time. Several have already passed their tests, their theory portion of the test, and have been working on their skills portion to go and test.  It's been super easy for them. They haven't really had any questions once they're set up and both on the mobile or on the desktop. Then they just go from there.   I've had questions on the resources looking back on their testing and being able to give them those answers. It's really easy, because Krystal has been there every step of the way to help us, and I've probably bugged too much but she's always there and within a day getting answers to us and even walking us through the steps.  But it has been a great resource for us and has extremely helped part of our jobs to make it easier and we really appreciate it and can't wait to keep using it.”

I would recommend Infinit-I there.  Like anyone, and as part of your membership in the North Dakota Small organized schools, you most certainly will get the fees that we charge at a reduced rate.  Infinit-I meets your drivers’ needs, and now, especially with the new training that's required through the permit process for the CDL, and even more important that you have this opportunity in this particular platform for training your drivers.  Once again, I want to thank Crystal for doing such a fine job. That's the only thing that I would change about the program.  ...I've watched a few of the videos, they're very informative.  The drivers have even told me that they have learned a few things from them.”

Steve Kessler asks, Did you lose drivers? Pat replies “No we did not lose any drivers, not over training. Yeah we lost some drivers when we went to electronic logs years ago, yeah we lost  a few drivers. Then we went to automatic transmission, yeah we lost a few drivers. Though you weren't a truck driver unless you had a gear shift. Then we went to cameras, when we went to cameras  we lost a few drivers and we've now got a newer better camera and we've lost a couple from that but they needed to be lost. They weren't people we needed to keep." Steve Kessler asks, Since you have been with Ozark and I know you are working on culture change and you are still working on all that, can you see or could you say that you have reduced violations, accidents and incidents and has anything gone down that you can put your figure on? Pat replies “When I got there (Ozark Motor Lines) our unsafe driving score was 91 percentile and now we are at 27 percentile for unsafe driving. So yes we are making changes. I look at preventable accidents for the first six months of this year over the first six months of last year and we are down 48%. The culture that we are changing, monthly training, cameras, the things that we are doing are going to pay us bid dividends. We doubled our deductible this year, our insurance year started august 1st. We are going to take on more risk to save money.”

"The people are great work with. That’s the key. It was so easy. As soon as I call up, I get somebody on the phone. They can walk me through any situation I have.... It couldn’t be any easier, really."

"My favorite thing [about Infinit-I] is that it’s easy to use. The platform is easy to learn, it’s easy to navigate, and it’s quick. For my fleet size, or any size, you want something that’s going to be effective and easy to handle. And I find the Infinit-I platform hits all those markers." "We’ve seen a decrease in accidents, a decrease in our CSA scores, and more effectiveness out of our fleet."hose markers."
