Change is inevitable in the trucking industry. Can you do more than keep up? Here’s on update on our new training features.

New Training Features Released

We do more than keep up. We make it our mission to stay ahead of the curve so we can tell you what’s coming. We craft training solutions and mitigate risks for individual trucking businesses. We apply CSA changes directly to driver modules to keep our resources fresh. We also work hard to anticipate what other resources managers and safety directors might need–like free Engage seminars, webinars, and downloads–so they can keep leading the industry.

Periodically, you’ll see us rolling out new system features with just this goal in mind. Here’s an update on what our newest additions look like.

Safety Culture and CSA Changes Webinar

CSA currently uses a set of complex algorithms to determine the relative safety of one trucking company over another. The scores are peer-based, and use roadside inspections and violations data to produce their metrics.

The method will stay the same. What’s about to change is CSA’s evaluation goal. They’re not going to focus so much on individual violations, but more on the overall safety culture of a given trucking company. Instead of focusing on predicting how many accidents might correspond with your level of compliance, what they want to know is: are you actively attempting to prevent accidents overall?

Read our entire blog on NEW CSA CHANGES.

A high-quality safety program under these evaluations needs to be totally integrated. It can’t be catch-as-catch-can. CSA wants to see that accidents are being prevented because your whole company’s safety culture is improving, and that you’re producing better drivers and higher expectations.

CSA will now interpret violations, not as one-offs to “fix,” but as potential neglect in entire areas of safety training. The stakes are higher. You’ve no longer got to just make sure the brake lights on your trucks are working so you can check that box. You need to be prepared to prove that your company prioritizes maintenance as a whole.

Infinit-I Workforce Solutions is already meeting this challenge. That’s because it’s an integrated system. It allows you to apply a variety of training to drivers (800+ modules), from dozens of training categories. It connects that training to an easy-to-use interface that puts you directly in touch with all of your drivers, wherever they are. From one platform, you’re organizing your training strategy, sending out training videos, and receiving feedback.

Instead of remediating behavior with drivers scattered around the country, or trying to keep up with new regulations, you’re in touch with 100% of your drivers all the time. You can apply the same safety training strategy to all your drivers, and add specific trainings for individual drivers as needed. You’ve also got a training system that automatically adds new content as CSA regulations change, so you don’t have to worry about being caught off guard.

These major CSA inspection changes are not in place yet, but they’re coming soon. Infinit-I Workforce Solutions provides a heads-up so you can prepare now.

Fresh Video Content

We shoot video, with live actors and real industry professionals. We don’t use animation. Attention and memory get a boost when a human face is used, and we think it’s important to connect as personally as we can with drivers. This also means that we have to keep our video library fresh. (Even an outdated haircut can make a video feel old!) Occasionally refreshing the videos also lets us find better and better ways to teach, honing the important points for maximum impact and maximum retention in a short amount of time.

We’re constantly updating and adding to the video library, and we’re releasing a new wave of fresh video content now. Our clients automatically get new videos when they’re released. The full library is always theirs–updates never cost extra.

New Content in Spanish!

Even though all your drivers have English proficiency, that doesn’t always mean you’ve completely closed that communication gap. You may have already discovered this. A driver who can hold conversations and read road signs may not have as much fluency when it comes to reading or video comprehension. It’s just the way the brain works. In language processing, it takes a slightly different skillsets for reading, writing, speaking, and listening. And successful communication tends to be easier in-person than when conveyed through audio or video.

You don’t have to leave any room for confusion. Part of being a good employer is being as hospitable as you can to your employees’ needs so they can do their jobs to the best of their ability. Even if you’re checking all the legal boxes, you need to make sure that what you’re giving employees is actually working for them.

Infinit-I Workforce Solutions offers a considerable amount of content in Spanish. And we can always customize content even further to meet your drivers where they are. Go the extra mile. Provide training material in the language drivers feel most comfortable with, and you’re leading the industry.

To sum up, you know the old phrase “Reach for the stars, hit the moon?” We want to help you hit the stars and get the moon thrown in.

Build a culture of true safety excellence. Let us help you get there!
